Club 27 Math/ELA Lab is a class that offers tutoring/assistance in Math and/or Language Arts for grades 4th-8th. Students will bring their assignments to the lab for assistance.  Here are suggestions of curricula that could be purchased to bring, if needed: Math Mammoth workbooks are very helpful, and Spectrum has several workbooks for the components of language arts that are helpful (available from Rainbow Resource). There may be opportunity for game strategies (implementing math, logic and reasoning skills) as time allows. 

  • Cost: $48 per month per student ($40 per month for non-charter school students)

  • Location: In-person classes in West Lancaster

  • Dates: Tuesdays or Wednesdays, through June 2nd/3rd

  • Class Size: Minimum 5 students

About the Instructor

Tim McClure has lived in the Antelope Valley since 1988. He is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, where he earned his B.A. in Christian Education, and Chapman University, where he earned his M.A. in Education. Tim began his career teaching 6th grade at a private school, and after two years he moved on to teach 4th grade for 26 years at Sundown Elementary School in the Westside District. He has also enjoyed working with all grade levels as charter school teacher for 18 years. Tim and his wife homeschooled their four children and have a great love for the homeschool community!
