Mrs. García is very excited for a fun year of learning Spanish!

elementary Spanish group class

The elementary Spanish group class is filled with vocabulary games and basic conversation. This is a 2-for-1 class! They learn ASL vocabulary as well as Spanish. These classes are geared towards K through 5th grade. We use Risas Y Sonrisas (please check with your charter school if it is a vendor to request the book, worksheets, and the CD) as the core curriculum for this group. Students will need the student book, the digital music download, the all-in-one worksheets (only for 3rd - 5th grade), and the online access (Mrs. García provides the online access once it is paid for), which provides the songs, videos, and more.

  • If your school has approved Risas Y Sonrisas, you may even want to consider purchasing the homeschool program.

  • This class is available in person and virtually until enrollment closes or the class becomes full.

  • We ask that parents stay around to assist the teacher if your student is in K - 1st grade.

High School Spanish Classes (2 and 3)

The high school Spanish classes are created for students earning high school credit in a foreign language. A-G and Honors options are available for all high school Spanish classes. We currently offer Spanish 2 and Spanish 3. They are designed to provide an understanding of vocabulary and lots of speaking practice for a grasp on the conversational aspect of the language. High school students must spend time daily (an estimate of 1 hour) outside of class working on writing, listening, and speaking Spanish. The students will focus on learning the vocabulary as well as understanding the grammar aspects of the language. They will be given access to a Google Classroom once the P.O. is received. Grades are provided by the teacher.
