This Course will follow AG guidelines for high school level U.S. History in the State of California. The classroom instruction and curriculum will cover American historical, social, political events and figures from colonial times to modern day. Utilizing primary sources and building analytical skills will be a strong focus. Upon completion, students will have an understanding of our nation's past, how it relates to the present, as well as relevant research and writing skills to utilize in future academic endeavors.

Course details:

• Grades: Open to all high school, (typically 10th - 11th)

• Time: Fridays from 4:30pm - 6:30pm

• Schedule: First week of September to last week in May

• Class Size: 6 minimum, 12 maximum

• Required Materials: Required materials include the High School American History workbook by Classical Historian (about $20).   You will also need to purchase our text, A Patriot's History of the United States by Schweikart and Allen. Any edition from the 10th to the 15th should work just fine. You can get them Between $5 and $10 used and $16 or $17 new on Amazon or Ebay. A notebook with lined paper and pencils and pens would be helpful as well.
