Play and Build (1st - 5th grade)

This session introduces younger students to STEAM concepts through play-based, hands-on learning. Activities rotate across themed stations, designed to encourage curiosity, exploration, creativity, and teamwork. All materials are age-appropriate and guided by trained mentors.

Sample Projects and Learning Areas:

  • 3D Creative Design: Using 3D pens to draw out their own models, or models they find online, using 3D printers.

  • STEM Challenges: Build around a set goal, finding creative ways to achieve the task. Intro to Robotics/Arduino: Build and program a small robot based on an Arduino-based platform and Arduino language, using commercially available parts. This includes working with basic electrical components and circuitry.

  • STEM Art Projects: Combine newly acquired skills and tools along with the students’ creative skills to create projects that show their artistic expression.

COURSE DETAILS:

  • Costs: $150/month

  • Time: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 11:00am - 1:00pm

  • Location: Lancaster

Maker Middle (6th - 8th grade)

This program bridges intermediate STEAM learning with hands-on projects, teaching problem-solving and design skills. Students explore the design cycle primarily through robotics, coding, and fabrication.

Sample Projects include:

  • 3D Design & Printing: Using programs like OnShape/TinkerCAD/Blender to model and print custom designs or prototypes.

  • Arduino platform/language: We expand more with the Arduino platform and language used, experimenting with modifications on the kit, and beyond the robot platform.

  • Engineering Design Challenges: Build around a set challenge, finding creative ways to achieve or surpass the given task, compete/participate with or against other students in the set challenges.

COURSE DETAILS:

  • Costs: $250/month

  • Time: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 1:30pm - 3:30pm

  • Location: Lancaster

High school STEM Lab (9th - 12th grade)

This lab environment supports advanced learners in building real-world skills in engineering, digital design, and technology integration.

Sample Projects and Learning Areas:

  • Fusion 360 or Onshape CAD Modeling: Create detailed digital prototypes

  • Arduino-based Projects: Programs ways to control or read from Motors, sensors. Dabble in Internet-Of-Things (IoT) capabilities with the arduino platform.

  • CNC, Laser Cutter, and 3D Printer Use: Learn Safety and develop production workflows.

  • Entrepreneurial Maker Projects: Design, budget, and build their own working products or art pieces.

Sessions are 2 hours a day, 2 days a week. Ideal for independent and college-bound learners interested in creating their own projects to expand their portfolios in STEAM-related fields and careers.

COURSE DETAILS:

  • Costs: $250/month

  • Time: Mondays & Wednesdays from 1:00pm - 3:00pm

  • Location: Lancaster
